Eric's father once told him that he wasn't going to get a wife by playing video games. Joke's on him, that's partly how we met!

In November 2024, Alicia Bernhardt decided to introduce us to each other, hoping to combine two of her friend groups. From then on, Alicia, Drew Bouda, Eric, and I played online video games together almost every week. It was so much fun to play as a group and learn more and more about each other each time we played!

In May of 2025, Alicia encouraged me to play with the boys without her for the first time. Drew was also busy, so it happened to be just Eric and me. The longer we played together, the more we talked and found out that we had lots of things in common, including details like a dislike of carbonated drinks. But the kicker was finding out that we each had feelings for different people! From then on, we decided to continue talking in hopes of helping each other out in the other's love life.

We talked for hours at a time, at first intending to gather information for a different person. But the more we talked, the more we realized exactly how much we had in common, from how similar our shared values were to our hopes and dreams for the future. At some point in time, we both began to look forward to our late-night talks and to hear each other's voices after a long day. It became less about match-making and more about connecting.

Finally, Eric made the first move, and we confessed our mutual and growing interest in each other. Ever since, we have been inseparable--ask anyone!
